Eric Chun Him Chan

Born in Hong Kong, Eric Chan was taught the piano and violin from the age of four. He graduated from Royal College of Music, where he obtained a Master of Performance with distinction and Bachelor of Music with first-class honours. He studied organ with David Graham and Andy Dewar, piano with Kathron Sturrock, improvisation with Sophie-Véronique Cauchefer-Choplin and film music composition with Mike Ladouceur. In 2019, he received the Harold Darke Memorial Prize for Organ, the highest award for undergraduate organists. He provided assistance to the Royal College of Music keyboard department with the selection process for a new organ professor. His studies at the College were supported by the Richard Newton Scarth Award and John Birch Scholarship, in addition to the Peter Wiles Scholarship and R. J. Pitcher Scholarship from the Royal College of Organists.
