Adam Wills Begley
Educated at Yale and Cambridge, Adam Wills Begley is Director of Music at the Birmingham Oratory. Active as an organist and conductor, Adam also serves as Artistic Director of Schola de l'Oratoire St-Joseph, Montréal. Previously, Adam served as Director of Choirs at Our Lady & the English Martyrs (UK) and Graduate Organ Scholar at Downing College, Cambridge. In 2019, he became the first student from a Canadian university to be named a finalist in the American Choral Directors Association’s Graduate Conducting Competition.
Active as an educator with musicians of all levels, Adam has served on the conducting faculties of the Detroit Children's Choir and the Elm City Girls' Choir. Adam's conducting teachers include Jerry Blackstone, Stephen Layton, and Jean-Sébastien Vallée; his organ teachers include Christian Lane, Thomas Bara and Hans-Ola Ericsson.
